Festival Day 5

Last day of the festival!! I can’t believe it’s already over. No mandatory talks today, we all started the morning together, walking through the Palais basement and checking out all the winning work from the week. Seeing everything in one place really puts into perspective just how creative and meaningful this industry can be.

After that, we had our final class debrief, during which we shared highlights, takeaways, and our favorite moments from the trip. One thing that really stuck with me is that it’s okay to take risks and even fail. This week showed me that you can’t spell success without ‘suck’. So many of the best ideas we saw came from people who weren’t afraid to try something bold, even if it didn’t work right away.

The rest of the day was free, so I grabbed lunch and went shopping with my friends. Then, we got ready for the awards show and the closing party that followed.

The closing party was INSANE! They turned the whole beach club into a massive dance floor with a DJ, an open bar, and tons of food. It was the best way to wrap up the week. Our class danced the whole night; the DJ played all Miami EDM music, and the fireworks were unforgettable. We kept going back for more food and didn’t leave until they shut the place down after 1am. Such a fun and perfect way to end everything.
